About Us
The e-IOVIC 2021 is intended to be the first co-organized, online international conference on optometry and vision science in Malaysia. The e-IOVIC 2021 is co-organized between the Department of Optometry and Visual Sciences (DOVS), Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences (KAHS), IIUM, and the Optometry Unit, Department of Ophthalmology, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA). In addition, a collaboration with the Association of Malaysian Optometrists (AMO) fortifies the framework. This international e-conference aims to attract participants from optometry, opticianry, ophthalmology and any related health science professionals from both Malaysia and the international.
Aims
- Organize a conference to discuss and update the optometry sub-specialty areas of public health, myopia, dry eye, contemporary examination technique, and non-communicable disease.
- Provide an avenue for the discussion of current issues, optometric intervention, and new technology in optometry and vision science.
- Function as a platform for clinicians and scientists to present their research and findings.
- Strengthen cooperation and inculcate multidisciplinary approach between vision professionals alike in managing patients with visual problems.
