Authors participating in the poster competition are required to use the official ICABE 2026 poster template.

The International Conference on Architecture and Built Environment (ICABE 2026) invites researchers, industry practitioners, professionals, and students to submit posters contributions to the Research Poster Competition, held in conjunction with the conference, showcasing innovative practices, applied solutions, and research insights.

Aligned with the conference theme:


“Navigating Transitions: The Built Environment in a Changing World”

 

This competition provides a platform to showcase not only academic research but also practical experiences, professional projects, and design-based solutions addressing contemporary challenges in the built environment.

Scope of Topics

Posters must align with one or more of the following areas:

Islamic Values and Ethics in the Built Environment
Governance, Human Capital and Professional Integrity
Community Integration and Social Inclusivity
Sustainable Development, ESG and Circular Economy
Climate Resilience and Adaptive Futures
Artificial Intelligence and Smart Digital Transformation

Required Content Structure
All submitted posters should demonstrate clarity, relevance, and meaningful contribution to the built environment, whether through academic research, professional practice, or design innovation. Participants are encouraged to structure their posters with the following components (where applicable):

Introduction / Background
Brief context of the research problem/issue, project, or professional practice
Relevance to current issues in the built environment
Alignment with ICABE 2026 theme
 
 

Problem Statement
Clearly defined issue, challenge, or practical gap in the field.
Justification of why the study is necessary

Objectives / Key Focus
Clearly stated objectives, project goals, or guiding questions
Must directly address the problem statement

Methodology / Approach
Research, design, or professional approach (e.g., case study, project implementation, technical method, design process)
Data collection and analysis methods
Study area (if applicable)

Key Findings / Outcomes
Presentation of key findings, project outcomes, or practical impacts
Must be visual-driven, using:
Graphs / charts
Diagrams
Maps / plans
Before–after visuals

Discussion
Interpretation of findings
Reflection on practical implications, lesson learned, or professional insights
