GUIDELINES FOR E-POSTER
- The topic must be relevant to the dentistry research area.
- The participant must read and understand the guidelines given. Any submission after the stipulated deadline will not be accepted.
- There are TWO (2) categories for the e-poster submission:
- Young researchers (< five (5) years of experience in dentistry or health related area / undergraduates / postgraduates)
- Senior researchers (> five (5) years of experience in dentistry or health related area)
- The participant must submit an abstract (Document 1) to the website latest by 31st July 2023. After acceptance, the participant may proceed to submit the pre-recorded e-poster.
- The allocation time for each pre-recorded e-poster is 5 minutes.
- The e-poster with video (Document 2) and without the video (Document 3) must be submitted together latest by 20th September 2023, 5.00 pm by uploading to the given link (the link will be emailed to you later once your abstract has been accepted). Any submission after the deadline will not be accepted. Please refer to the guidelines in preparing for document 1, 2, and 3.
- The e-poster will be evaluated by the panels of judges.
- The participants are entitled to receive E-certificate for poster participation and certificate of achievement for the winners.
DOCUMENT 1
- An abstract has to be submitted prior to e-Poster participation. Refer to abstract guideline and format template.
- Save and name the word document as your NAME-INSTITUTION-ABS.
Example:
FIRDAUS-IIUM-ABS.docx
or
FIRDAUS-IIUM-ABS.doc
- Any progress of your abstract submission will be notified via email.
DOCUMENT 2
Please fill up the research information in the given e-poster template using the format below:
- Use Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare a poster in landscape orientation. Download the e-poster template.
- Other templates are NOT ACCEPTED and will be disqualified automatically.
- The poster must be self-explanatory and cover the same material as the abstract.
- Open your E-Poster PowerPoint slide -> Select Slide Show -> Click Record Slide Show -> Select Record from beginning (maximum 5 minutes).
- Please ensure your video is on the top right corner of your e-poster before converting it into MP4 file format.
- To save your video as MP4 file format, please follow as below:
Click File
Select Save As
Select your file destination
File name: Example: FIRDAUS-IIUM-POSTER-VIDEO
Save as type: MPEG-4 Video
Click Save

DOCUMENT 3
- Prepare the same e-poster without the video and save as type: PowerPoint Presentation.
- Name the document as your NAME-INSTITUTION-POSTER-WITHOUT VIDEO
Example: FIRDAUS-IIUM-POSTER-WITHOUT VIDEO.pptx
NOTES :
- Abstract (Document 1) must be submitted via our website latest by 31st July 2023.
- The e-poster with video (Document 2) and without the video (Document 3) must be submitted together latest by 15th September 2023, 5.00 pm by uploading to the given link which will be emailed to you later once your abstract has been accepted.
