INTRODUCTION

Youths today are the catalyst for nations’ transformation. Capacity and character-building programmes are badly needed for youths to contribute to the strength of the ummah in the 21st century as it faces many challenges. Youth programmes in Muslim countries are the real reflection and manifestation of the future of the ummah. The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is instrumental in enhancing global networking particularly in relation to Muslim youths and it had already organized several international youth events in the past in collaboration with various organizations and agencies.
