Background

Pharmaceutical science field has grown very fast in response to disease, microbial and cancer resistance to discover and develop new drugs. The overcoming of disease in the era of pandemic becoming a challenge and opportunities for pharmacists to develop new drugs, new diagnostic kits as well as new vaccines.

 

Innovation and finding would be more effective to disseminate new technology and new methods in a scientific meeting such as conference and seminar. The meeting would benefit all participants to get an updated development in the field of pharmaceuticals sciences.

 

In 2014 and 2016, the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, IIUM had successfully organised the International Conference on Industrial Pharmacy (ICIP). The third ICIP conference was supposed to be conducted in 2020. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the conference was suspended for a while. To expand the participation from pharmaceutical   discipline,   we   have   rebrand   the   conference   name   to “International Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences (ICOPS)”, and for 2022 we have jointly organized this conference with the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (UHAMKA), Jakarta, Indonesia. Following this, we would like to have this ICOPS to be organized annually with a different theme. For ICOPS 2023, we would like to organize it with the theme of Dermatopharmaceutics: The Epitome of Skin Science ”. We hope we can gather all researchers, scientists, academicians and students who are working in skin delivery, dermatology and cosmeceutical science to participate this conference.

Objectives

The objectives of the conference are as follows:


  1. To provide a forum for academicians, researchers, and industry to present their findings, ideas, and innovation in the field of dermatopharmaceutics.
  2. To share recent updates in dermatopharmaceutics.
  3. To accommodate a research collaboration among the experts, participants and organizer at international level.
