This festival is enthused by the Qura’anic verse 13 in Surah Al-Hujarat:
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍۢ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَـٰكُمْ شُعُوبًۭا وَقَبَآئِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتْقَىٰكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌۭ ١٣
O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware.
Accordingly, this festival showcases the synergized and collaborative efforts of several local and international institutions and entities which are directly and indirectly involved in the teaching, learning and enhancement of Arabic Studies in Malaysia, led by the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, AHAS KIRKHS. This festival is consistent with the educational goals of the Kulliyyah, enabling and facilitating the students to internalize the worldview of Islam in every aspect of their life and develop their knowledge in their chosen fields of specialization and their commitment to using their knowledge for the advancement of the Ummah. Correspondingly, several academic and non-academic activities and initiatives have been carefully identified and designed to be show cased and organized during the festival.
Consequently, this festival attempts to reveal and display the diversity and magnificence of the Arabic culture through various exciting programs. The festival is timely and relevant. The festival complements the Kulliyyah’s vision in becoming the centre for educational excellence and research in Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences. It provides a platform for students and academics, i.e., in the field of Arabic and Islamic Studies to connect, interact and exchange views and experiences in various specializations, and share their writings, ideas, and innovations in Arabic and Islamic Studies amidst the avalanche of technologies and innovations in the 21st century.
