About ICCESDiRe’26
The 3rd International Conference on Civil Engineering for Sustainability and Disaster Resilience 2026 (ICCESDiRe’26) is the flagship biennial event organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, Kulliyyah of Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
The Legacy of the IIUM Engineering Congress
While ICCESDiRe’26 is in its third edition, it is a proud component of the IIUM Engineering Congress, a prestigious series of annual gatherings that has been a cornerstone of the global engineering community since 2006. For two decades, the Congress has united international academic scientists, researchers, and industry practitioners to share transformative ideas and cross-disciplinary innovations. ICCESDiRe’26 aims to provide a collaborative platform for experts to exchange research results on all aspects of Civil Engineering
As the world faces unprecedented climate challenges and rapid urbanization, the role of the engineer has shifted from purely technical to deeply ethical. ICCESDiRe’26 focuses on the responsibility of the engineering profession to build not just for today, but for a resilient and equitable tomorrow with the theme ‘Ethical Engineering in Advancing Sustainability and Urban Resilience‘.
