This is a\u00a0<strong>pre-requisite\u00a0<\/strong>for a paper to be included in the Conference Programme.<\/li><li>The pre-recorded videos will be available to the participants during the Conference and in the<strong>post-Conference Video Library<\/strong>.<\/li><li>It is <strong>recommended<\/strong> that the pre-recorded presentation includes a window box with the speaking presenter via a webcam, instead of a voice-over presentation only.<\/li><li>There are several video conferencing tools available to easily record a presentation.\u00a0<strong>Powerpoint<\/strong>or\u00a0<strong>Zoom\u00a0<\/strong>is among the most preferable.<\/li><li>Our recommended approach is to record a compatible video, using a webcam or an external video camera to create a small window of the speaking presenter and an external microphone or headset for the audio.<\/li><li>Both\u00a0<strong>Powerpoint <\/strong>and <strong>Zoom<\/strong>presentation software allow recording audio and video directly in the application and can export appropriate video files in MP4 format.<\/li><li>See relevant links below for more information regarding Powerpoint and Zoom.<ol><li><u><a href=\"https:\/\/conference.iium.edu.my\/wcii\/index.php\/pre-recorded-presentation-submission\/\">Powerpoint<\/a><\/u><\/li><li><u><a href=\"https:\/\/conference.iium.edu.my\/wcii\/index.php\/pre-recorded-presentation-submission\/\">Zoom<\/a><\/u><\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol><ol start=\"8\"><li>Duration of the pre-recorded video:<\/li><\/ol><ul><li>Plenary Speaker: 50 minutes and additional 10 minutes Q&amp;A session.<\/li><li>Oral Presenter: 10 minutes presentation and additional 5 minutes Q&amp;A.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"9\"><li>Recommended set for HD format is 1280 x 720 (or other \u201c720p\u201d) setting or higher.<\/li><li>Please be sure the video follows the template for your PowerPoint presentation provided below:<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>3WCII2021 Example of Template using PowerPoint presentation<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Use simple (e.g.: Arial, Calibri) and large (30+) fonts.<\/li><li>Have NO embedded videos.<\/li><li>File Format:<strong> MPEG-4 (.mp4) file.<\/strong><\/li><li>Video Quality: use an adequate front light and an appropriate background for the video headshot of the presenter. Check your files before submitting them to ensure their quality (video and sound).<\/li><li>Please use the following naming convention when submitting your video:<ul><li>Plenary#.mp4, where the Plenary# is the plenary number based on the tentative programme.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Tips for Recording:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Use a place for recording as quiet as possible.<\/li><li>Avoid areas that have an echo or bad acoustics.<\/li><li>A good microphone close to the mouth. Avoid, if possible, using the default built-in microphone on the computer.<\/li><li>Remember to speak slowly and enunciate clearly, without pausing.<\/li><li>Make sure you have good front light \u2013 ensuring that the light shines brightly on your face. If your back is to a window, close the shades.<\/li><li>Put the camera at eye level.<\/li><li>Do a test recording of a couple of minutes and review the sound and picture quality before recording the entire presentation.
