He also founded and directs the Computing, Inference and Learning Lab (PennCIL) at the University of Pennsylvania, which focuses on integrating fundamental principles and wisdoms of statistics into quantitative methods for addressing key challenges in modern biomedical data.<\/p><p data-start=\"1312\" data-end=\"1775\">Dr. Chen is an expert in the synthesis of evidence from multiple data sources, including systematic review and meta-analysis, distributed algorithms, and data integration, with applications in comparative effectiveness studies, health policy, and precision medicine. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers, including 70 statistical methodological papers and 70 medical informatics papers.
