About IRID26 – IRID2026

IRID 2026 continues this momentum by highlighting the theme “Research and Innovation for a MADANI Future,” reflecting IIUM’s commitment to nurturing high-impact research culture, promoting multidisciplinary collaboration, and advancing Malaysia’s research excellence agenda. Through oral and poster presentations, keynote sessions, and exhibitions, IRID 2026 aims to identify emerging talents, recognize outstanding research outputs, and inspire innovative solutions that contribute to national and global development.

The objectives of the IRID 2026 are as follows:

To boost research and innovation among IIUM researchers m alignment with the University’s goal of achieving MyRA 6-Star rating.
To create platforms for engagement between researchers and industry players/agencies, fostering collaborative research through the establishment of Research Collaboration.
To enhance research publication output in high-impact journals and indexed platforms in order to strengthen IIUM’s performance in the Malaysian Research Assessment (MyRA).
To identify and promote prominent researchers in Malaysia, with a special focus on highlighting the achievements and capabilities of researchers at IIUM Kuantan.
To encourage inter-Kulliyyah, inter-university, and inter-institutional collaboration m research and innovation, promoting multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral partnerships.
To identify and select outstanding research outputs and products that can represent IIUM at national and international research and innovation competitions.
