Her expertise bridges hardware and software, rooted in a strong foundation in electronics from her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in France, and evolving through her PhD research in Software Effort Estimation. As Head of the SoftTrust Research Group at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, she leads initiatives in trustworthy AI systems, integrating innovation, application and ethics. Beyond technical advancement, Dr. Haslina champions AI literacy and inclusive technology development. As an executive committee member of the IEEE Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Subsection, she actively contributes to STEM\/AI education initiatives that make emerging technologies accessible to diverse communities.<\/p>

Through her advocacy with Persatuan Siswazah Wanita Malaysia (PSWM), where she currently serves as Deputy Secretary, she participates in raising awareness about gender equity in AI and technology, while promoting inclusive participation in digital innovation. Her research philosophy centres on responsible AI deployment that serves societal welfare.
