3rd International Conference on Quran and Sunnah Studies 2024

The 3^rd International Conference on Qur’an and Sunnah Studies reached the following Resolutions and Recommendations:

RESOLUTIONS

1. Spreading the Qurʾan and Sunnh Message: Use online platforms for free classes on Tajwīd, Qiraʾah, Ḥifẓ, and understanding the Qurʾan.
2. Weekly Qurʾan Hour: Promote a weekly “Qurʾan Hour” in offices and on digital platforms.
3. Qurʾanic Generation: Create communities reflecting Qurʾanic and Sunnah values, like “Qurʾan and Sunnah villages” and “Qurʾan and Sunnah offices.”
4. Revelation and Science: Integrate revelation with scientific inquiry for holistic solutions.
5. Ethics in Science: Develop ethical guidelines for scientific advancements based on revelation.
6. Interdisciplinary Research: Encourage research combining theology, science, and social sciences.
7. Education: Integrate studies of revelation and science in curricula.
8. Preserving Spirituality: Uphold spiritual and moral values amid technological advancements.

RECOMMENDATIONS

1. Tadabbur al-Qurʾan and Sunnh Center: Establish centers for Qurʾan and Sunnah understanding, potentially leading to a Qurʾanic university.
2. Thematic Tafsir: Address modern challenges through thematic Qurʾan interpretation and hadith.
3. School Programs: Introduce Qurʾan and writing its manuscripts subject in addition to memorization and interpretations in schools and universities.
4. University Integration: Include Qurʾan and Hadith memorisation in tertiary education.
5. Research Institutions: Create centers exploring revelation-science intersections by integrating ‘ulum al-‘aqliyyah (rational knowledge) and ‘ulum al-naqliyyah. (revealed knowledge).
6. Research Grants: Support projects merging scriptural insights with scientific innovation.
7. AI and Biotech Ethics: Develop ethical guidelines for emerging technologies and that AI and ChatGPT are not an accurate source or reliable method to contemplate thus become an expert in the field of Qur’an and Sunnah.
8. Public Engagement: Foster public understanding of science through spiritual perspectives.
9. Training Programmes: Build capacity of training programs for educators, policymakers, and leaders in integrating science and revelation.
10. Global Collaboration: Encourage international partnerships to address universal challenges with faith-informed science.

These efforts aim to harmonise revelation and science for ethical and sustainable progress.
