Dzulkifli Abdul Razak\u00a0(Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dato\u2019) is the 6th<\/sup>\u00a0Rector of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), also known as\u00a0Universiti Islam Antarabangsa<\/em>\u00a0Malaysia<\/em>\u00a0(UIAM). He is the Immediate Past President of\u00a0the International Association of Universities\u00a0<\/em>(IAU) based in\u00a0 UNESCO, Paris, after serving as the 14th President of IAU (2012-2016).\u00a0He is also an Honorary Professor at\u00a0University of Nottingham\u00a0<\/em>since 2014.<\/p>

He had served as the 3rd Chairperson, Board of Directors,\u00a0Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia<\/em>\u00a0(USIM), the 5th<\/sup>Vice-Chancellor\/President of\u00a0Universiti Sains Malaysia<\/em>\u00a0from 2000-2011; and the\u00a0World Health Organisation (WHO) Expert Advisory Panel on Drug Policy and Management\u00a0<\/em>(1995-2010) as well as the\u00a0WHO Scientific Committee of Tobacco Product Regulation\u00a0<\/em>(2004-2006).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Dzul is the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0Asian to receive the prestigious 2017 Gilbert Medal and the 7th<\/sup>\u00a0internationally from Universitas 21, a group of renowned research intensive universities from 16 countries. He also received the 2017\u00a0Asia HRD Contribution to Society Award\u00a0<\/em>as recognition for people development in the academic world. Dzul is a Fellow for the\u00a0Academy of Sciences Malaysia\u00a0<\/em>(FASc), the\u00a0World Academy of Art and Science\u00a0<\/em>(FWAAS) and\u00a0the Malaysian Institute of Malaysia<\/em>\u00a0(FMIM). He is also\u00a0Honorary Lifetime member\u00a0<\/em>of\u00a0Asian Academy of Management,\u00a0<\/em>and more recently Fellow of the\u00a0World Academy of Islamic Management\u00a0<\/em>(FWAIM). He was awarded the 2017\u00a0Tokoh Akademik Negara<\/em>\u00a0(National Academic Laureate) and is a recipient of a number of Honorary Doctorates from various international universities. In October 2018, he was conferred the title Professor Emeritus from USM.<\/p>

Associate Professor Bj\u00f6rn Wettermark, M.Sc.Pharm, PhD works at the regional health board in Stockholm, where he supports decision makers with various analyses on quality of care. He is currently leading a project with the aim to implement a new national system for guidelines development and quality improvement.<\/p>

Bj\u00f6rn is also associate professor in pharmacoepidemiology at Karolinska Institutet with research focusing on drug utilization topics such as prescribing quality indicators, international comparisons of drug utilization, evaluation of prescribing doctors\u00b4 adherence to guidelines and intervention studies to promote rational use of drugs. Professor Rusli Ismail joined UnisZA in November 2016 as a professor at the Faculty of Medicine. Prior to UnisZA, Rusli was a professor at the Centre of Excellence for Research in AIDS at the Faculty of Medicine in University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur where he joined after leaving USM Institute for Research in Molecular Medicine.\u00a0 Rusli teaches clinical pharmacology and therapeutics.<\/p>

His research interest is in \u201cpersonalised medicine and pharmacogenetics\u201d that grew from his work in clinical pharmacokinetics. His main focus currently is on drug use disorder and HIV especially when it pertains to methadone maintenance therapy (MMT) for opiate use disorder. Rusli has also been active in civil societies. It was when he was the Honorary Secretary of the Malaysian AIDS Councilthat he began to become especially interested in MMT, and this culminated in him helping to get the Government to redraw drug policy to include \u201charm reduction\u201d. Rusli has published extensively and has been invited to many international conferences. He was recently invited by the Saudi Government to deliver a talk on \u201cMMT in Malaysia\u201d that was to act as a nucleus for a similar approach in Saudi for their similar problems.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Professor Libby Roughead\u2019s research interests include quality use of medicines, medicines safety, adverse medicine events and pharmaceutical policy.\u00a0 Libby is a Senior Principal Research Fellow of the National Health and Medical Research Council, Director of the Quality Use of Medicines and Pharmacy Research Centre, lead investigator of the Centre of Research Excellence in Post-Marketing Surveillance of Medicines and Medical Devices, and Executive Director of a national prescriber intervention and feedback program targeting Australian general practitioners, pharmacists and veterans; Veterans\u2019 MATES (www.veteransmates.net.au<\/a>).<\/p>

She is currently a member of the Australian Government Drug Utilisation Sub-Committee of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee, the Medication Safety Reference Group of the Australian Safety and Quality Commission. Associate Professor Che Suraya Haji Mohd Zin is currently the dean of \u00a0Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She obtained her B Pharm (Hons) and Master in Clinical Pharmacy from University Science Malaysia and PhD in Pharmacy from The University of Queensland, Australia.<\/p>

After finishing her PhD in 2008, she had taken up the post of Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Division of Social Research for Medicines and Health, University of Nottingham United Kingdom. Dr Azuana Ramli is the Deputy Director (Research and Development) of the Pharmacy Policy and Strategic Planning Division in Pharmaceutical Services Division (PSD), Ministry of Health Malaysia. She received her BPharm degree from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom in 1993. She has a Post Grad Diploma in Quality Management in Healthcare, from the American University in Cairo before pursuing her Master studies in the National University Malaysia. Professor Louisa Jorm is the Foundation Director of the Centre for Big Data Research in Health at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. She has spent equal periods (more than 10 years each) in senior leadership roles in government and academia, giving her unique opportunities for translational research impacts.<\/p>

Professor Jorm is an international leader in health \u201cbig data\u201d research and specifically in applying advanced analytic methods to large-scale routinely collected data, including hospital inpatient and medical and pharmaceutical claims data. She has made major scientific contributions to research in the areas of health system performance, health surveillance, data linkage and Aboriginal health. \u00a0<\/p>

Professor Jorm has played a leading role in the establishment of policy, infrastructure and capacity for \u201cbig data\u201d health research in Australia, including through membership of the Australian Health Ethics Committee, and participation in the development of a framework for secondary use of My Health Record data. She led the development of the new UNSW Master of Science in Health Data Science, the first such program in the southern hemisphere. Professor Jorm has published >160 scientific papers and been awarded >$30 million in research grants. She is a high-profile advocate for more and better use of routinely collected health data for research.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dr. Saepudin, PhD is a senior lecturer in clinical pharmacy and currently is head of Pharmacy Department at Universitas Islam Indonesia in Yogyakarta \u2013 Indonesia. In 2017 He held his PhD degree in clinical pharmacy and biostatistics with research on hyponatremia in patients with heart failure. Drug utilization is part of his research interest, in which he has a long experience on using ATC\/DDD methodology, with focus on antibiotics and cardiovascular medicines. He is a member of the Malaysian Pharmacy Board, Malaysian Poisons Board, National Patient Safety Council, National Antimicrobial Resistance Committee and National Tobacco Control Committee.<\/p>

He has served 35 years at the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), Kuala Lumpur as the Chief Pharmacist and Deputy Director (Professional). \u00a0He has helped UMMC to achieve Quality Management System certification in 2002 and hospital accreditation under the Malaysian Society for Quality in Healthcare (MSQH) in 2012. Amrahi\u2019s contribution in the field of hospital pharmacy practice in Malaysia is immense through his time at UMMC bringing the level to a world class status. Further, Amrahi is very passionate on halal pharmaceuticals and is a leading subject matter expert in this field.<\/p>

He is a member of the technical committee and working committees of MS 2424:2012 \u2013 Halal Pharmaceuticals standard, the only global halal standards for pharmaceuticals; and in the technical committee for Halal Medical Devices standard, also the first in the world. Amrahi has conducted business coaching on Halal Centric Customer Service for CCM-Halal Pharmapreneur for nineteen participating community pharmacists since August 2017.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
