INOCEM was established in 2003<\/strong> with the objective to support and promote high quality research, training and outreach in oceanography, marine and maritime studies and related management programs<\/strong> through postgraduate education, education, research and effective programs that addressing marine issues in Malaysia. INOCEM is entrusted to become a center of excellence in IIUM specializing in research, development and commercialization of ocean and coastal resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kulliyyah of Science<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Kulliyyah of Science (KOS) was established in 2000<\/strong> and initially housed in the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge building before relocating to sections of the Kulliyyah of Engineering at the IIUM Gombak Campus. On December 1, 2006, KOS began operations at its new location in the IIUM Kuantan Campus. At present, KOS comprises six departments: Physics, Biotechnology, Computational and Theoretical Science, Chemistry, Marine Science, and Plant Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mission<\/strong> of Kulliyyah of Science:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. To implement transformative and hands-on teaching and learning through comprehensive and well-rounded academic programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
