He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Kobe University. Professor Ogino has supervised more than 50 master\u2019s and over 10 doctoral students at Kobe University. He is the author or co-author of over 250 peer-reviewed journal papers and 40 reviews and book chapters.<\/p><p data-start=\"572\" data-end=\"995\">His wide-ranging research interests include the production of biofuels and chemicals from biomass through synthetic biotechnology using yeast, fungi, and actinomycetes, as well as the development of novel drug and gene delivery systems based on nanobiotechnology.\u00a0<\/p><p data-start=\"572\" data-end=\"995\">Professor Ogino is an active member of multiple professional societies including the Society of Chemical Engineering Japan, Society for Biotechnology Japan, Chemical Society of Japan, and others.
