Dr. Dwi Lestari Priwitaningrum is a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) since 2008, and currently serves as Head of the Pharmaceutical Laboratory. She is also a member of the Ethics Committee on Health Research at USU and a reviewer for research journals. She obtained her PhD in 2023 from the University of Twente, Netherlands, with research focused on strategies to overcome barriers for cancer (nano)medicines.

Her research interests include pharmaceutical technology, drug delivery, nanomedicines/nanoparticles for anti-cancer, and cosmetic formulation. She teaches courses in pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, and nanomedicine.

Dr. Dwi Lestari has received international recognition, including the Top 3 Poster Prize at the CLINAM Conference (Switzerland, 2017) and Top 3 Best Papers in Drug Delivery and Translational Research (2023).
