GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATION

PRESENTERS

  • The presenting author must be present during the allocated presentation time.
  • Please be punctual, and you are required to be at the venue at least 10 minutes before your allocated presentation time.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ORAL PRESENTATION

  1. All presentations must be delivered in English.
  2. The time allocated for each oral presentation is 7 minutes (The first bell will ring once in the 6th minute, indicating the first reminder, and the second bell will be rung twice at the 7th minute, which will signal the end of the presentation).
  3. This will then be followed by 3 minutes of a question-and-answer session by the panel of judges.
  4. All presenters are advised to strictly adhere to the allocated time. Presentation details beyond the time limit set by the committee may NOT be considered in the marks by the judges. 
  5. Presentations should be made using MS PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx). Your submitted file should be named O- XX (the number assigned to your presentation). 
  6. The title should be the same as in the submitted abstract.
  7. The presentation shall include the Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and any literature and references you have cited.
  8. Give an opening statement or introduction to acquaint the audience with the nature and purpose of the study.
  9. Briefly describe the research methodology.
  10. Allocate most of the presentation time to the results of the study. State the results simply and clearly so that significant facts can be readily identified.
  11. Conclude the presentation with a summary of the essential findings/clinical relevance for the research project.
  12. Include an acknowledgement of any sponsorship, research grant or individual in support of your research.

The oral presentation venue will be equipped with the following:

  • Screen
  • LCD projector
  • Computer
  • Microphone
  • Laser pointer

SUBMISSION OF THE POWER POINT PRESENTATION (SOFT COPY)

Please upload the FINAL VERSION of the PowerPoint presentation by 3rd September 2026 (Thursday) before 5.00 pm to the Google Drive.
