This conference arises from a shared vision, sustained perseverance, and strong collaboration. I am deeply grateful to the Malaysian Society of Oral Microbiologists and Oral Immunologists (MySOMOI) and Kulliyyah of Dentistry, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and the for entrusting me with the responsibility of serving as Chairman. ICOMOI 2026 reflects the collective dedication of an exceptional organizing committee, distinguished speakers, and committed contributors who share a common goal—advancing oral health through ethical, evidence-based science and meaningful innovation. I also sincerely acknowledge all sponsors and supporting partners whose contributions are essential to the successful realization of this conference.
The conference theme, “Ethics, Science, and Sustainability: Shaping the Future of Oral Microbiology and Immunology,” invites us to examine the integration of scientific excellence with ethical responsibility and sustainable practices. In this spirit, the conference emphasizes integrity, collaboration, inclusivity, and social responsibility in both research and professional practice.
