Dr Noel Scott is Adjunct Professor of Tourism Management in the Sustainability Research Centre, University of the Sunshine Coast. Queensland, and Centre for Tourism Research, Edith Cowan University, Western Australia, Australia. His research interests include the study of wildlife tourism, tourism experiences, destination management and marketing, and stakeholder organization.He has over 300 academic articles published including 16 books. He is on the Editorial Board of 10 journals, a Fellow of the Council of Australian University Tourism and Hospitality Educators, and a member of the International Association of China Tourism Scholars. He has experience in tourism in a number of countries including China, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. He has worked as a tourism consultant and academic researcher for 26 years and led research and consulting projects in sustainable tourism, tourism branding, destination management, tourism product and experience design and China tourism. Prior to starting his academic career in 2001, he worked as Manager Research and Strategic Services at Tourism and Events Queensland.
Dr. Vijayaletchumy Subramaniam is a lecturer in the Malay Language Department at the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, Universiti Putra Malaysia. Her areas of expertise include Applied Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, and Translation. With a background as a trained teacher, she has made significant contributions to the field through publications in various genres, including books, journal articles, chapters, and e-books. Dr. Vijayaletchumy actively engages in research on second language acquisition and learning. Her research on dyslexia issues, language acquisition, and learning has been recognized with multiple awards, including gold medals at prestigious exhibitions and innovation competitions. She is dedicated to making a positive impact and actively participates in national-level programs such as the Guru Celik Bahasa Programme, Transformasi Ilmu Disleksia Programme, and Pemerkasaan Bahasa Kebangsaan Programme. Throughout her career, Dr. Vijayaletchumy has received recognition for her excellent service, with awards and certificates acknowledging her commitment and contributions. Notably, she was honored with the Malay Language Academic Appreciation Award in 2018 by the Ministry of Education Malaysia.
Professor Gavin T L Brown is the Director of the Quantitative Data Analysis and Research Unit in the Faculty of Education & Social Work at The University of Auckland, New Zealand. He is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and holds honorary positions at Umeå Universitet, Sweden, the Education University of Hong Kong, and from July 2023 at Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. Gavin was a high school teacher in New Zealand after teacher education in Montreal, Canada, before being a standardised test developer for 9 years. He has been in academia since 2005 in New Zealand and Hong Kong. Prof. Brown’s research focuses on psychometrics, the psychology of teachers and students within assessment, cross-cultural differences in assessment processes, the use of technology systems to analyse and report student achievement, and multivariate statistical analysis methods. He has published more than 220 peer-reviewed articles, books, and chapters and serves on 9 journal editorial boards. He has been a collaborator for funding awarded in Chile, Brazil, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Hong Kong, and New Zealand. His most recent authored books are Assessment of Student Achievement and Using Self-Assessment to Improve Student Learning (both Routledge, 2018).
Dr. Abdeljalil Hannouche is a professor of literary criticism, rhetoric, and pragmatics at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Cadi Ayyad University, Morocco, since 1992. He has directed several Master’s and Doctoral programs. Currently, he is a head of Arabic language department and the director of a research laboratory specialized in languages, communication, and pedagogical issues in higher education. It is a multidisciplinary laboratory where a significant number of university professors work and supervise various doctoral researchers. He has also published a number of articles and books in the fields of linguistics, rhetoric, literary criticism, education and Islamic thought. He is also working on preparing research that reconsiders the renewal of Arabic rhetorical and linguistic studies. In addition, he has been a Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities for more than ten years, which enabled him gain experience in the field of management and leadership of university educational institutions. He has published articles in this regard, and is now preparing a book in which he presents a summary of his vision for the development of university management, a vision which adopts what is called ethical management, which puts values at the heart of administrative management, making ethics the basis for the leadership of institutions.
Dr. Siti Noor Fazelah Mohd Noor is an experienced academician and researcher specializing in discourse studies, including critical linguistics, text linguistics, mediated discourse analysis, genre studies, conversation analysis, and semiotics. She holds a PhD in Linguistics from Macquarie University and currently serves as the Deputy Dean at the Department of English and Linguistics Center for Language Studies at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. With over 12 research grants and contracts, Dr. Siti Noor Fazelah has made significant research contributions through book chapters, journal articles, and media publications. She is an active member of the Malaysian Association of Applied Linguistics and has served on various academic committees, including the Curriculum Committee at the Faculty of Language and Linguistics, Universiti Malaya. In addition, she has provided consultancies and supervised PhD students while also serving as an external assessor and examiner for academic assessments. Dr. Siti Noor Fazelah has received prestigious awards, such as ANUGERAH PERKHIDMATAN CEMERLANG in 2010 and 2021, and ANUGERAH JASA BAKTI in 2016, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the field of linguistics. Her expertise extends to teaching since 2007 and holding academic management positions, including the role of Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation at the Center for Language Studies.
