Keynote 1
Education 4.0: Transforming the Future of Healthcare Education<\/strong>
Professor Dr. Sally Chan PhD, MSc, BSc, RN, RMN, RN(Psy)., FHKAN, FAAN, FFNMRCSI<\/em>
President, Tung Wah College, Hong Kong<\/em>
Dr. Sally Chan<\/strong> is a Professor and global healthcare educator and researcher. She has extensive experience in the higher education sector. Her career influences the tripartite mission of research, education and practice. She focuses on translating evidence to improve healthcare practice outcomes, implementing teaching innovations, and mentoring new generations of healthcare professionals. Supported by more than 100 funded studies, more than 400 publications in international healthcare journals and international presentations, she has developed and sustained international inter-institutional partnerships. The results of her sustained research agenda and scholarship have made a recognized impact on healthcare practice and education in the Region. She has been named by the Journal of Advanced Nursing (JAN) as the top 10 Australia and New Zealand Professors with the highest education-focused citations (JAN 2018 https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/jan.13698). She is on the list of the World’s top 2% Scientists (2020) and the top 2% most-cited scientists in 2021 and 2022 released by the Stanford University. Professor Chan has been honoured for her significant and sustained contribution to nursing and healthcare. In 2022, she was inducted into Fellow Ad Eundem by Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery; and the Honorary Fellowship by the Hong Kong Academy of Nursing. In 2013, she has been awarded the \u2018International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame\u2019 by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honours Society of Nursing. She was also inducted into the Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keynote 2
Building Healthcare Workforce for Future Sustainability<\/strong>
Professor Emerita Dr. Wipada Kunaviktikul, PhD, RN, FAAN
Vice President in Health Science Academic Affairs and the Interim Dean of the School of Nursing at
the Panyapiwat Institute of Management<\/em>
Dr. Wipada Kunaviktikul<\/strong> is a Professor Emerita and the former Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, Thailand. As part of her service to Chiang Mai University, she served as the Director of Nursing Policy and Outcome Center (NPOC), the Head of the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Nursing and Midwifery Development, and the Director of the Center of Excellence in Nursing. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing (INDEN) and the International Virtual Nursing School (IVINURS). She obtained her doctoral degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA, in 1994 and a research fellow (post doctoral) certificate from Harvard University School of Public Health, USA. Dr. Wipada has conducted many research projects over the span of her career, specifically in the areas of nursing administration, policy, health care systems, and quality of care. Her publications have been accepted by national and international journals more than 100 papers, and she is regularly invited to speak at national and international conferences. She served as the Chair of the Chiang Mai University Master Degree Program in Nursing Administration, was the Doctoral Administrative Committee, and served as Chair of Graduate Studies at the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University. She has also received several national and international awards including being inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing, USA International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame in 2011; The University of Alabama at Birmingham\u2019s School of Nursing\u2019s Visionary Leader at their 60th Anniversary Celebration; the Council of University Faculty Senate of Thailand\u2019s National Distinguished Professor in Health Science Award in 2010. Most recently, she received the Honorary Doctory Degree in Nursing Science from Chiang Mai University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parenting Research: Current Trends and Way Forward<\/strong>
Associate Professor Dr Shefaly Shorey PhD RN RM
Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore<\/em>
Dr. Shorey<\/strong> is an Associate Professor with tenure at Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore (NUS). Her research program focuses on enhancing family and women\u2019s health. She has designed psychosocial and educational interventions for a varied group of populations and has published more than 180 peer-reviewed papers in high-impact factor journals. Dr. Shorey represents Singapore for the Southeast and East Asian Nursing Education and Research Network (SEANERN) and the Global Working Group (GWG) on Salutogenesis. Dr. Shorey\u2019s research has been regularly published in National Newspapers and broadcasted via Television and Radio Channels. Dr. Shorey is an experienced and award-winning educator who believes in lifelong learning and adopts a student-centered evidence-based approach to facilitate students\u2019 learning. Dr. Shorey has received various awards for her academic and research excellence. Of recent, she was awarded as President Nurse Award 2021, the highest nursing accolade for Singapore nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plenary 2
The Success Story of Nursing in Malaysia and its Direction of Care for the Nation<\/strong>
Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Said Nurumal PhD RN
Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia<\/em>
Dr. Mohd Said Nurumal<\/strong> is an Associate Professor at Kulliyyah of Nursing in the Department of Critical Care Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and formally held the post of Dean at Kulliyyah of Nursing and Deputy Chairman for the Malaysian Nursing Council of Public Higher
Learning Institution. Presently, he is a member of the Southeast and East Asian Nursing Education and Research Network (SEANERN) and is funded by the China Medical Board of the USA. He completed his basic nursing education at the University of Malaya and obtained his Bachelor of Nursing Studies (Hons) in Dublin, Ireland. He then pursues his Master of Science in Medical Education at the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He received conferment of the Doctoral of Philosophy degree in nursing from Chiang Mai University. Prior joining IIUM, he was an emergency practitioner at the Trauma and Emergency Department, University of Malaya Medical Centre. His research interest includes both nursing education and clinical practice mainly in trauma and emergency field and nursing assessment. He is currently undertaking research on CPR-AED programme for households in Malaysia context. He also actively supervises post-graduate students in the field of trauma, pre-hospital care, preceptorship program, and smoking cessation programme at the present. Mohd Said Nurumal has received various awards for his academic excellence from his alma mater and International Islamic University Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening Nursing Education in Indonesia for Future Global Challenges.<\/strong>
Associate Professor Dr Agus Setiawan PhD RN
Dean Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia<\/em>
Dr. Agus Setiawan<\/strong> is an Associate Professor and Dean of Faculty of Nursing Universitas Indonesia. Currently He is the President of the Association of Indonesian Nursing Education Centre (AINEC). He is also the President of the Sigma Theta Tau International, Indonesia chapter. He completed his Doctoral and Master of Nursing at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia, and Bachelor of Nursing at Universitas Indonesia. His background is a community health nurse with specialization in community based intervention, child health, access to health care, human resource for health, and health inequalities. Being both academician and public health practitioner, he has a mixed experience of generating evidence, and translating it into programs and policies. He has a number of publications in the area, and actively involves in shaping policies, working with government and related stakeholders in Indonesia and surrounding countries in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roles of Nurses Association Towards Sustainable Direction in the Nursing Profession<\/strong>
Madam Aisyahton Suhaimi RN, RM, PhD (Candidate)
President, Malaysia Nurses Association<\/em>
Madam Aisyahton<\/strong> has 27 years of nursing experience and is presently employed as Chief Nursing Officer at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, the largest hospital in South East Asia (SEA). She is the President of Malaysian Nurses Association. She also chief editor of Journal of Malaysian Nurses Association (JOMNA) and Bulletin Malaysian Nurses Association. Currently she is a PhD candidate at University of Technology Mara (UiTM) and had earned her Master in Women Health from the same university. Apart from that she also trained midwife, having completed her training at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang. Represented Malaysian Nurses Association for presentation 2nd \u201cBelt and Road\u201d International conference Chinese Nursing Association (Beijing, China) \u201cProtect Nurses\u2019 Safety and Right under Pandemic\u201d (2022). Malaysian Nurses Association affiliated with International Council Nurses (ICN), Commonwealth Nurses & Midwives Federation (CNMF),Asian Operating Room Nurses Association (ASIORNA) and National Council of Women Organization (NCWO).
